Edward was gifted to Christopher Robin Milne by his mother, Daphne Milne, on his first birthday - beginning a lifelong friendship that would inspire one of the world’s most cherished characters.
Winnipeg brings another piece of the story to life. Inspired by a real Canadian black bear, she lived at London Zoo in the 1920s, where she captured the heart of young Christopher Robin. So taken with her gentle nature, he named his own teddy bear after her - “Winnie.”
Together, Edward and Winnipeg represent the real-life friendship and imagination that led AA Milne to create the timeless Winnie the Pooh tales - a story of childhood wonder, companionship, and adventure.
